What is the shelf life of your dog treats? How to they need to be stored?
Just like your local bakery, Faux Paws treats are baked fresh daily to give you the best quality gourmet dog treats. Crunchier treats, like our classic bones and cookies, can stay in a cookie jar for six to eight weeks (or up to six months in your freezer). Over time, these types of crunchy treats won't spoil, but any decoration may discolor slightly. Our softer treats, such as brownies and cannoli, have a shelf life of three weeks. We recommend you keep them in your refrigerator, especially during warmer months. (Back to Top of Page)
Do you use preservatives in your dog treats? Are the ingredients safe for dogs?
All of our dog treats are baked fresh daily using wholesome ingredients with no added preservatives or additives. We do not encourage the use of added sugar, salt or animal fat. All our ingredients come from domestic suppliers who meet FDA standards approved for human consumption; however, we don't recommend our treats for diabetic dogs or dogs on special diets. Faux Paws treats are not supposed to replace your dog's regular food, but they make a great treat or reward. None of our treats contain chocolate.

How long does it take to process and ship my order?
After you place your order online, we try to ship by US Priority Mail that same day, but always by the next business day (Monday through Friday). We don't ship on weekends or holidays, so your order will go out the following business day. We always try to accomodate special rushes, so if you need your order in a hurry (like a birthday cake, for example), just give us a call or email us and we can ship by an alternate, faster method (at extra charge). Our standard method of shipping, US Priority Mail, takes 3 to 5 days to arrive at your door. International orders take a bit longer. When calculating shipping times, please keep in mind that the day we ship is not counted as a shipping day (sometimes our shipper does not take your order from us until very late in the day). If you need your order by a specific date, please allow a few extra days for arrival before your celebration or event. I'm having problems with my order. How can I get help?

How far in advance should I order a birthday cake or birthday treat for my dog?

Our treat clubs are easy, convenient and cost-effective! Join our Treat-of-the-Month Club and your lucky pooch will receive a yummy array of Faux Paws treats every month. Better yet, with a 12-month club membership, you'll also get a FREE large doggie birthday cake!
Or, join our Birthday Club and each year a LARGE hand-decorated vanilla or carob birthday cake will automatically arrive in time for your dog's special birthday. You also receive six birthday cookies and a FREE dog toy. Now what could be better than that!

Can I send Faux Paws treats to a friend?
What a wonderful idea! Faux Paws treats are a great way to celebrate your friend's birthday, wedding, special occasion, or just to say I'm thinking about you! A gift of Faux Paws treats is a creative and original way to let them know you care. Just add your items to your shopping cart and when you check out you'll see an area where you can leave us instructions and a message to go with your gift. We'll even add a custom-designed notecard to your gift so your friend or relative will know who to appreciate.
